E4C - Head Office
Administration
Front Office: sorting the mail, dealing with phone messages, interacting with the public, filing and other necessary tasks.
Human Resources: help with research and human resources related paperwork.
Communications & Development: help to organize files and records systems.
ArtStart
ArtStart provides arts
exposure and mentoring to elementary and junior high students from low
income families. We are always interested in hearing from new
volunteers for the following areas (volunteering in the evenings or
weekends):
General Assistance – help with snack and ensure
students move go to their classes on time. Spend time in
classes to help other volunteers. Experience with children an
asset.
Dance Assistant – help the instructor teach the
students as well as maintain class discipline. Dance
background an asset.
Dance Instructor and Drama Instructor – Must have
experience in the field.
Music Instructor – Must have experience in their
field. Either group or private lessons.
Visual Art Instructor – Teach a minimum of 6
sessions throughout the year, assist other volunteers during other
weeks. Must have experience.

Crossroads
Crossroads offers support, alternatives and hope to children and adults involved in prostitution and at risk of sexual exploitation.
Street Outreach: As a member of the Crossroads Outreach team, your primary responsibility will be to assist with the van preparation these duties are completed in partnership with the outreach worker whom you are paired.
Early Learning Programs
E4C’s Early Learning programs provide preventative early intervention programming. Both programs run during the school year and provide quality preschool experiences for children who live in low income.
Clareview Head Start is a pre-kindergarten program that offers a Learning Through Play curriculum for children ages 3-5. Our goal is to prepare children for a successful educational experience in partnership with their family.
Volunteers are needed in a variety of positions, including classroom assistants, kitchen support and assisting with school maintenance i.e. yard work (spring clean up), window washing etc…. Volunteer positions are available Tuesdays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30pm.
Early Head Start is a long term early intervention program for young children. While their parents are in group, the children participate in a quality childcare program. Our goal is to foster healthy child development and promote positive parent/child relationships during the critical first three years of the child’s life.
Volunteers play an essential role in playgroup by engaging children in play, helping to maintain a safe play environment and helping with clean-up. Groups run Mondays through Wednesdays.
Our Place / Our Other Place
Offers long-term room and board for 10 women over 18 years of age with long term mental illness and lower income
As a member of Our Place/Our Other Place team you be helping the support worker to plan and participate in recreational/social activities.
The Women's Emergency Accommodation Centre (WEAC) provides emergency beds, meals, transportation and security for women in a 24-hour-a-day staffed facility.
Support and Referral: help the staff in respond to requests for service through admission procedures, communication of information and referral to appropriate resources, and offering support to all who access services and provides administrative support to the program as required.
